A 3-hour trip starting from Portree Harbour. This is a year-round trip in the comfortable Stardust II or Wavedancer, which has indoor seating if conditions are slightly unfavourable.
Spend 3 hours with us as we depart Portree Harbour and head north towards Holm Island and its fantastic bird sanctuary.
Keep your eyes peeled as we head further north into the Minch following the whale trail passing down towards the Isle of Rona and north-west Raasay.
There is also a potential stop-off on the Isle of Rona for around 20 minutes, featuring the best of Highland hospitality - a story and a dram!
As with all our trips you can expect to come across a huge variety of wildlife including whales, dolphins, white-tailed sea eagles and much more. However, on this particular trip, you’ll also be introduced to Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) such as the Trotternish Ridge which is significant for several scientific reasons. A budding geologist on this tour may take an interest in the massive landslides that took place in this area whereas the mountain vegetation surviving above 450m may pique the interest of a keen botanist.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROUTE IS SUBJECT TO VARIATION DEPENDING ON SIGHTINGS AND SEA CONDITIONS.
Minimum of 4 passengers required for the trip to proceed.
This trip is offered daily all year round.
